India won the toss chose to bat first. India made solid start. India utilized their power play very well. after Gambhir, Virat Kohli dismissal the wickets are falling in a regular intervals. Irfan Pathan top scorer for India with 31 runs and Suresh Raina made useful 26 runs. at one stage India lose five wickets in 75. Suresh Raina, Dhoni and R Ashwin take India to the decent total. India ended the innings with 140 for 7 in20 overs. Shane Watson take 3 for 34 runs. and Pat Cummins got 2-16.
In the chasing 141 runs in 20 overs David Warner and Shane Watson punished the Indian bowlers. they put 133 runs partnership for the first wicket. Watson scored 72 off just 42 balls and David Warner made unbeaten 63 off 41 balls. Australia reached their target in 14.5 overs. Shane Watson got the Man of the Match award for his all round performance.
