West Indies Crush Australia by 74 runs and entered into the Final



Chris Gayle unbeaten 75 runs from 45 balls and Pollard quickfire 38 off just 15 balls helped West Indies to beat Australia in the 2nd Semi Finals of the ICC World Twenty20 2012 at Colombo on Friday. 

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. Jhonson charles was out in earlier. Marlon Samuels and Gayle build the Innings. Marlon was bowled by Pat Cummins when he was in 26. and the Dwayne Bravo came into play, he gave very good support for Gayle. Chris Gayle unbeaten 75 consists off 5 fours and 6 sixes. Kieron Pollard hitting some big sixes helped West Indies to pass the 200 mark. He scored 38 from 15 balls. West Indies ended the Innings with 205 for 4 in 20 overs.



In the chasing, Australia struggled to score runs against West Indies bowlers. The Wickets are falling in a quik intervals. at one stage Australia were 43 for 6 Captain George Baily's 63 off just 29 balls helped Australia to pass 100 run mark. Ravi Rampaul take 3 for 16 and Kieron Pollard got 2 for 6 in his one over. Finally Australia are bowled out 131 runs in 16.4 overs.

West Indies beat England in a Super Eight Match



West Indies beat defending champions England by 15 runs in a ICC World Twenty20 Super Eight match at pallekele on Thursday.

Chasing 180 target, England lose first two wickets in Ravi Rampaul over. Eoin Morgan 71 off 36 balls and Alex Hales 68 off 51 balls they add 107 runs partnership for the 4th wicket. England ended the innings with 164 for 4 in 20 overs.

Earlier Johnson Charles made 84 off 54 balls and Gayle scored 58 ball 35 helped to post West Indies 179 for 5 in 20 overs.

West Indies captain sammy said, we backed ourselves to set a target and the our openers play very well in this game.

Stuart Broad says, we had to regroup, losing two wickets in first over. but we showed good the wicket. we are happy with the ball but disappointed not to win tonight.


Watson sets up Australia win over West Indies in a rain hitting game



Shane Watson's 41 off 24 balls and David Warner 28 of 14 balls helped Australia to beat West Indies by 17 runs in a D/L Method.
